European windows typically use plastic and metal in the construction, so the frames are durable. There are also windows available constructed from wood, but the cost of those windows can be significantly higher.

The windows open almost effortlessly and so are an excellent option for older homeowners that may struggle to get the double-hung sash windows in their home opened and closed.
