One of the more common signs that you need to replace the window screens is when there are obvious holes or tears in the screens. In some cases, they can be very subtle, so you might not notice them at first. Look closely at the screen from different angles, going inside and outside your home to take a look at them. The holes might not seem much bigger than the regular screening material holes, but they do make a difference in the quality of the screen.
